"Born in an ancient family of artists, Grasset, like the English, was a reformist spirit and in 1905 he published a manual entitled La Méthode de Composition Ornamentale, thus establishing in a convincing and enthusiastic fashion the principles of the democratization of art in an aesthetic sense that united all the aspects of art. He applied those principles and dedicated himself to all the practical arts."
