Scanned from the book "Jugendstil" by Gabriele Fahr-Becker.
From the book: " Oreste Ruggeri, the owner of a ceramics studio and a supporter of the new style, asked Brega to build him a villa. If one looks carefully it's not difficult to perceive the Italian tradition and heritage under the ornamental coat of the facade. Brega gave two eyes-like windows to the Oriental part of the house, a floral element in armed concrete reminiscent of a nose, and a mouth-like entrance. Thus he obtained an ensemble that reminds us of the vegetable portraits of Giuseppe Arcimboldo."
